Grants Awarded 2023

2023 was The Powell Family Foundation’s first year of operations. It has been a privilege and pleasure to work with the many talented and dedicated people who are passionate about encouraging and supporting vision impaired children and young people to achieve their potential.

During the year we awarded £114,830 of individual grants to 73 vision impaired children and young people. These grants helped to pay for specialist equipment, sensory toys to help habilitation, IT equipment to support education and leisure, skills development, hobbies, sports and leisure activities.

The grant application process was very straightforward and the Foundation were really helpful and supportive. The whole process was really smooth and the turnaround time was fast. My son was absolutely thrilled with the grant which will make a big difference to him.
