About the Foundation
We provide grants to individuals, charities and not-for-profit organisations, with the aim of creating opportunities for children and young people with a vision impairment to reach their full potential.
Find out how to apply for a grant or contact us to discuss how we may be able to help.

Our grants help support children and vulnerable adults so good Safeguarding policies and procedures are vitally important. Please read our Safeguarding Policy and Procedures here. Charities applying for a grant will need to confirm that they have appropriate Safeguarding Policy and Procedures in place. See the ‘Apply for a Grant’ section for more information.
About the grant
The application forms contain guidance notes.
Please get in touch if you have any questions about your eligibility for a grant, the application form or the process.
Applications may be made by, or on behalf of, individuals with a vision impairment who are aged 25 and under who are permanently resident in the UK and in need of financial assistance. Grants to individuals are typically made in the range of up to £5,000. We have some further guidance notes we suggest you read before applying which can be found here (in the downloadable pdf). We would be grateful if you would complete and return our Equality & Diversity Monitoring Form when you make a grant application.
Applications may be made by charitable or not for profit organisations, registered in the UK, whose work provides direct benefit for people living in the UK. Your organisation must have as part of its aims and objectives, a focus on services (new or existing) that support children and young people with a permanent vision impairment i.e. those whose condition would make them eligible for a Certificate of Vision Impairment. Please note, we do not fund intermediary fundraising organisations and we do not fund research. Grants to organisations are typically made in the range of up to £50,000. Trustees will consider other amounts where the case for support is particularly strong.
